Louis “Frank” Stegmiller

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of Airman First Class: Louis “Frank” Stegmiller, USAF.

Our brother Frank, passed quietly in his sleep on April 12th. in the home of his daughter Julie, with his beloved wife Carol, by his side. Frank, served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, serving as an Aircraft Mechanic on B29’s and a proud member of the Hurricane Hunters squadron in Bermuda. Later in life he continued to serve his country as member of the American Legion for 15 years. Although Frank never served as a Post officer or chair, he participated in every Post event, especially if it involved Cooking. Frank, always said ” I am not a paper pusher, I want to get my hands dirty.” The Post could always depend On Frank to be there, and Carol would be right by his side ready to lend a hand. He was a friend and brother to all of us, and even when he was tired or in pain, because he over did it, he always had smile,, or a joke for you.

Frank will be cremated and his ashes will be interred at the National Cemetery in Prescott, Az. The family is plaining a Celebration Of Life for Frank locally this summer. In the meantime cards and condolences, may be sent to his Wife Carol, and Daughter Julie, at:
