Ernest A Costa

Dear Legion Family & Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of MCBM Ernest A. Costa U.S.C.G (ret)

Our brother Ernie, passed quietly in his sleep last night. Ernie served his country for 39 years in the United States Coast Guard, and continued to serve his country as member of the American Legion for close to 50 years. He served as Post 233 Chaplain for a number of years until his retirement at which time the Post named him Post 233 Chaplain Emeritus. He was a friend and brother to all of us, and even when he was in pain, he always had smile for you.

The funeral arguments are pending, the only thing for sure is he will be Intern at the Dixon National Veterans Cemetery.

Master Chief Boatswain’s Mate Earnest Costa, United States Coast Guard, your watch is ended, you are relived. I herby transfer you to Post Everlasting.
